Nissan Kicks BS6 update| Journalmotor

After experiencing several failures with it's products Nissan India has discontinued it's Sunny,Micra, etc. from the Indian range and replaced the Terrano which was Duster's cousin with the Nissan Kicks which was being based on Renault Captur's B0 platform that also competes currently with the Hyundai Creta, kia seltos, etc. In the segment. The car was available with a 1.5 litre petrol engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine which were mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox.Due to limited amount of dealerships and competition in the Indian Market the SUV didn't got the beans in comparison to the Kia Seltos and some other rivals. After the existing BS6 emission norms Nissan has planned to introduce a 1.3 litre turbo petrol engine which would be mated to a CVT transmission(on higher Variants) for better fuel efficiency and better punchiness of the performance than the other rivals.

After the discontinuation of the 1.5 litre diesel engine from Renault Nissan had also made a decision to discontinue the Diesel Kicks from the Indian lineup. The new 1.3 litre turbocharged petrol engine would generate 156 PS power and 254nm of torque however in comparison to Kia seltos there would be lack end torque delivery buut would deliver more power than 1.4 turbo petrol. There will be no cosmetic changes as confirmed by Nissan India.
