Skoda had recently announced the that the Skoda Rapid will soon be discontinued from the Indian market. The replacement model that we will get to see in India is the Skoda Slavia which is officially unveiled by the brand.
The Slavia has just gone absolutely phenomenal with looks that just grabs a lot of attention. It's something resembles it's many family members make it anyday just better than Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai cars in terms of designs. The competitor Honda City also has great looks but the Slavia is also a beast as it's not polarizing like competitors.

The rear end kind of resembles the design language of the pre-facelift Superb that we had earlier got in India. Alloy wheels might look small to many people but the diamond cut finishing makes them just awesome. Chromework is something that just gives it a very premium look on the side profile. Kia also makes great looking cars but a Skoda car just doesn't have looks but the safety is also just uncompromised.

Inside the car, there will be a different kind of feeling that one gets after entering the car. Black interiors look very much sportier but beige interior makes a car feel open but the Slavia has a dual combination of the colours. The two spoke steering gives a very different feeling as its like sitting in cockpit of an aeroplane or a private jet. Digital instrument cluster is an offering in the car which is better than traditional looking cluster from the Rapid. Climatronic air conditioning is something that attracts attention but it would have been better if Skoda offered dials to avoid distraction. Ventilated seats have a presence so now not very much struggle sitting inside due to the heat that makes seats very hot. There are also other features like floating touchscreen and ambient lightning system which will play a role in adding value to what you pay from your pocket. Safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill hold control, etc will also be there on the offer making it a safer choice.

| A TSI is always a TSI |
A TSI engine is just the best petrol engine when it comes to extracting horses from a vehicle. Instead of a 1-liter TSI, there could have been an MPI engine but thankfully they didn't follow Hyundai and Kia's path. There are both 1-liter and a 1.5-liter TSI engines on the offer and of course both will have great performance on the offer. A six-speed manual will be a standard offering on both engine options but the 1-liter option will be available with a torque converter and 1.5-liter will get a DSG transmission option. Even if you have a strict budget, you will still not get compromise on performance as even a 1-liter TSI can also keep you happy with decent performance. If the budget would be high then 1.5-liter TSI would surely be the best engine one should opt for the best performance. There would be three trim divisions on offer namely Active, Ambition and Style and five colour options will be there on offer. The colour options include Red, white, silver, grey and the special blue colour introduced for Slavia.
