Skoda has updated its Rapid with a new 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine after the diesel engine was being discontinued to meet the recently applicable BS6 emission norms.The Rapid recently comes in many variants which are the ambition,style,onyx and also had the most selling variant which was the rider edition which added most value with the features that were being offered at a price of nearly 7-8 lacs where you get the option of sub compact sedans like the Maruti Dzire,Hyundai Aura,etc. After the rising demand the automaker had decided to close the bookings for the Rider edition that offered certain features which was of course a disappointment for many people.
After discontinuing the rapid rider edition Skoda had recently launched the rider edition plus which will now add more value as there are more features which are being added at a price tag of 7.99 lacs that includes a touchscreen audio system with android auto and apple car play and there are now four color options like candy white,carbon steel,silver and toffee brown.
The safety features which are there are dual airbags,antilock braking system,rear defogger,height adjustable seat belts,etc.
There is option of the turbo petrol which generates 110 PS power and 175NM of torque.
