MG announces two major updates

 

As per the official update by Morris Garages there are two major updates I am going to tell you.The first update is about the BS6 Hector Which recently got updated with BS6 petrol engines which includes both hybrid and non hybrid engines that the MG Hector recently gets.The 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine generates 140 PS power and 250 NM of torque like the the previous engines .The hybrid engine also does not have much difference . Talking about the pricing for the BS6 Hector it would be 12.73 lacs for the base trim Style mated to a manual transmission with non hybrid option and 17.55 lacs for the top end Sharp which is mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox.

Following are the variant-wise prices for the BS6 MG Hector petrol variants (ex-showroom, all India):

Hector Petrol MT Style: Rs 12.73 lakhs

Hector Petrol MT Super: Rs 13.53 lakhs

Hector Petrol Hybrid MT Super: Rs 14.13 lakhs

Hector Petrol Hybrid MT Smart: Rs 15.23 lakhs

Hector Petrol Hybrid MT Sharp: Rs 16.53 lakhs

Hector Petrol DCT Smart: Rs 15.93 lakhs

Hector Petrol DCT Sharp: Rs 17.43 lakhs

Following are the variant-wise prices for the BS6 MG Hector petrol variants (ex-showroom, Kerala):

Hector Petrol MT Style: Rs 12.82 lakhs

Hector Petrol MT Super: Rs 13.63 lakhs

Hector Petrol Hybrid MT Super: Rs 14.23 lakhs

Hector Petrol Hybrid MT Smart: Rs 15.34 lakhs

Hector Petrol Hybrid MT Sharp: Rs 16.65 lakhs

Hector Petrol DCT Smart: Rs 16.04 lakhs

Hector Petrol DCT Sharp: Rs 17.55 lakhs

The another major update is concerned about the upcoming Endeavour and Fortuner rival which would be called the MG Gloster . If talking about the dimensions,the new Gloster will be longer than Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Jeep Grand Cherokee at 5,005 mm and have a longer wheelbase than the two SUVs at 2,950 mm. Its width and height will be 1,932 mm and 1,875 mm, respectively.Based on the Maxus D90 the car will get both 6 and 7 seater options and a turbocharged diesel engine with an output of 218 PS and 480 NM of torque.The engine mentioned would be mated to an 8 speed automatic gearbox.The features that would be on offer would be panaromic sunroof,21inch alloys and some more goodies which MG will unviel at auto expo on 5th of February this year .The expected pricing would be 40-50 lacs(ex showroom).
