Vehicle scrapping Policy announced to control pollution | Journalmotor

 Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman had recently announced the vehicle scrapping policy to control pollution. According to the policy, the health will be checked for commercial vehicles after 15 years and 20 years for personal vehicles.



During the renewal of the vehicle health certificate, the "Green tax "would be levied for vehicles older than 8 years. If any vehicle is found unfit during the test, it will have a requirement to be scrapped. The scrapping policy will make people to soon retire their vehicles. Tax-based benefits will also be given to people buying a new vehicle after getting rid of their older vehicles.
