Renault Triber scored 4 star in Global NCAP

The Renault Triber is a car that doesn't have any direct competition in the Indian market other than the Datsun Go Plus which is a 7 seater car that feels like 5 seater. Many times there have been rumours that Triber is not going to score well in the Global NCAP crash test but as per the recent reports, the Triber did really well in safety.

The crash test was being done at a speed of 64 km/h. Ratings for adult occupant was rated 4 stars where as the child occupant rating was rated as 3 stars. It's bodyshell was rated as unstable as according to Global NCAP, it cannot carry further loadings. Footwell area was rated as stable but the chest protection and the knee for driver was marginal which was not the case with Co-passenger as Co-passenger had presence of adequate safety. In the case of child, ISOFIX anchorages were a requirement as head protection was low and chest protection was average.

Renault did a great job and hoping they get better cars for India

Like the Renault Triber, it would be great if the brand considers safers cars for India and same is expected from their product Kiger. This is something even Kia Seltos didn't cope up with in safety whereas a compact 7-seater proved to be great on safety.
