Future of electric cars in India

There have been a lot of questions people are having these days about electric cars. In the recent scenario, Internal combustion cars are still selling well because EV infrastructure is still developing in India. Here in this post, a lot of questions are answered about electric cars in India.

Popularity of Electric cars in India

You might be thinking that why cars with IC engines sell with cars with electric motors. The answer is very simple that the electric charging infrastructure is still under development. A few big cities like Delhi already have a charging station as per the Fame 2 scheme by the government but more of them are required to be established. Petrol and diesel infrastructure are already well developed and despite knowing that electric is the future, people buy IC engines just because because of the well developed fuel station infrastructure. This is something that not only make people buy IC engine cars but also make manufacturers years to bring electric cars in India. Tesla is already in negotiation and they will also take time to get their cars on Indian roads after electric infrastructure is well established.

Economic aspect of electric cars in india

If looking as an aspect of economy, surely the electric cars will be something that will be beneficial to the environment as the world needs alternatives. Oil burners are something will surely be missed by car enthusiasts just because of the feeling of driving they offered but electric is the future. The thing that must be considered is recycling of batteries as batteries that get used up or depleted surely need to be recycled otherwise batteries that are depleted can even cause harm or the environment. You have already heard many times that no source is always pollution but some sources can be good alternative resources. Petrol and diesel can be conserved for sustainable purposes which is a great thing electric cars offer. Gasolines and diesels do release greenhouse gases which will be reduced a lot after the switch from IC engines to electric cars.

Companies that manufacture electric cars in India

If you still don't know that electric cars are even launched in India then surely it's something you must know now because future is near. Morris Garages, the popular internet car manufacturer launched it's MG ZS Electric car in India after analysing the developmental situation. If suppose your vehicle does not have charge to go further then surely they provide assistance and electrical charging at dealerships. When coming to Indian companies, Tata also launched it's Tigor EV and the Nexon EV in India. These are just examples to tell people that we have electric cars in India and manufacturers are also slowly making a shift. By 2025 to 2030, manufacturers like Bentley, Honda, Volvo, etc. have even made announcement to go fully electric. If you might have noticed then auto expo 2020 also showed electric cars and stuff which can make way to India so of course some are already on the way to enter the Indian market.

Tesla cars in India

When talking about electric cars in India then surely Tesla is something that cannot be missed out as India wants to see cars like the Tesla model 3 and the Tesla model S. The Tesla Model 3 was many times even spotted testing in India but the challenge for Tesla is just the electric infrastructure and import duties on which Tesla even asked for negotiation. If government negotiates well with Tesla company then surely Tesla cars will soon hit the Indian roads.
