There have been a lot of things that buyers have expected from the Mahindra XUV700 over the XUV500 when it was under testing for longer period. A lot of sources have even revealed the exterior and interior of the new XUV700. The Mahindra XUV700 attracts mixed attention as the design is polarizing due to which some people might not like it over the XUV500. Alloy wheels are surely there on the offer but its expected from Mahindra to offer better rims on higher trims. This one surely makes one remember about older design that was very much appealing. Front end of the car is similar to the previous facelift of the XUV500 which also includes the front grille. One big update which Mahindra gave is that Lamborghini Huracan style plush door handles will replace traditional door handles offered on XUV500.

There is no way the new generation can beat the older model and thanks to Mahindra for still keeping this one on sale alongside the new one as this would surely be a beneficial strategy for them.

The Mahindra XUV700 interior images suggest that it would get large chunk of features and modern dashboard. Exterior might not be very great in looks but surely interior is on a modern side. Older logo will not be available on the Mahindra XUV700 as Mahindra is planning to introduce a new logo for the model. Panoramic sunroof which the brand will offer would be the largest in segment making the interior airy and that's why it's known as Skyroof. Many more goodies like fully digital instrument cluster and drive modes will be offered. There is a little disadvantage for petrol version buyers related to drive modes which will not be offered in Petrol variants.

When the time came for updating interior, the Mahindra XUV700 got a better interior than the older generation XUV500. A lot of buttons near the infotainment system surely feel outdated in comparison to new interior. Touchscreen was still there on the offer but looked smaller in size due to which people usually preferred aftermarket audio system. Elephant style vents were earlier there which lacked appeal. Those who want to go for older generation can for it just for the design but surely new one will be more attractive.

During the Auto expo 2020, Mahindra showcased their Mstallion range of petrol engines which complied even with stricter norms then BS6. Petrol option was earlier discontinued after BS6 due to which only 2.2-liter MHawk Diesel engine was on the offer and that's what even the XUV700 will get. Now the 2-liter Mstallion petrol engine will also be offered which is expected to be just very much powerful and torquier. This time Mahindra should also offer petrol engine is higher trims also as every XUV700 buyer will not prefer diesel and more features even in petrol option would benefit them. The older XUV500 is expected to only be offered in lower variants and only with a diesel engine. Official specs for engine are yet to be revealed.

The Mahindra XUV700 is expected to be priced between 21-24 lakhs which will of course cost more than the XUV500 due to expectations of fully loaded lower variants and more features.
