The Toyota cars that India deserves

Being a reliable and well known for safety, Toyota always kept customers satisfied with products like Innova and Fortuner. Nowadays, there is no single product that Toyota had launched in India which is their original and that only they know what is the reason. Sales of course were less but as per what customers buy, here are some products they should have launched instead of rebadged products as that could have kept their brand image high.

Toyota Corolla Cross

The Toyota Corolla Cross is a great premium SUV

The Toyota Corolla Altis was always a very enthusiastic products and amongst one of the Toyota cars that made the brand a legend in the Indian market. Sedans of course sell less than other body types and that's why Corolla Altis was discontinued. If the Sedan didn't worked well then surely the Toyota Corolla Cross would have been great at the price point as Toyota cars are known for reliability. The Corolla Cross would have been the most reliable product and also feature loaded that could make it strong against Hector and Harrier.

Toyota RAV4

The RAV4 would have worked well in India

In India, SUVs like Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta sell like hotcakes due to features they offer and engines with multiple transmission choices. Skoda had also recently launched Kushaq in India with better performance and quality. If Toyota gets this SUV with powerfull engines and great features then Kia Seltos will get a strong competition in a competitive price tag.

Toyota Pixis Joy

Toyota Pixis Joy
A car that would be great for middle class buyers

The cars like Maruti Spresso already sell well in great numbers as India is a country that has a lot of middle class buyers. If the Pixis Joy is launched in India then surely cars in segment of Spresso and Renault Kwid will get a great competition. Hyundai is also planning to launch AX1 in India and this would be great time for Toyota to plan launching the car with great features and fuel efficiency. Fuel efficiency is of course what India loves and Pixis Joy will satisfy customers a lot.

Toyota Supra

Toyota Supra
The Supra was something Toyota made in collaboration with BMW

The Supra is a vehicle that had a separate fanbase in India. This car can surely represent the legacy of Toyota cars in India especially their capability in Gazzo racing. There are two motors on offer outside India but the motor that would be great would be the 3-liter turbocharged motor which is their most powerfull version. Made in collaboration with BMW, this could be a perfect competitor in its segment where the cars like Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet are available.

Toyota Yaris GR

Toyota Yaris GR
There are recently not very hot hatches in India

The Toyota Yaris was not a car that sold in best numbers in India. Sedans already have very less sales and hatchback cars are something Toyota should launch in India. They have the Toyota Glanza in India which is not an ideal choice for Indian market as it's just what Maruti sells already with Suzuki badge. Hyundai is also planning to get their NLine variants for cars and this is the time Toyota should launch GR brand with Yaris GR as a first ever launch.

Toyota Sienta

Toyota Sienta
A stylish MPV that can rock the segment

Toyota doesn't really have a seven seater MPV that one can purchase at affordable prices. With the increase in price of Innova, the Toyota Sienta can be a game changer for Toyota in the seven seater segment. If they drop the idea of rebadging Maruti cars then surely they have great products that can work well in India. A little bit seriousness would be appreciated towards the Indian market as this will help them sell well and earn trust of buyers.

Toyota Tank

Toyota Tank
Very practical car for India

Recently, Toyota is testing rebadged version of the WagonR which is something that will just bring sales but not for long. A car like Toyota Tank which is practical can be something that can work against cars like the WagonR and the Hyundai Santro. Fuel efficiency of engines, better storage and safety of the car will make it a great package for Indian buyers.

Here are some of the products that can work well in India as an alternative to rebadging cars. Rebadging can bring sales but launching new products will help them stand out amongst competition. Do leave a comment and tell some other products that Toyota should launch in India.
